IDI AMIN - The Butcher Of Uganda

"His Excellency President for life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and the Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular".
Pheeew! I thought that would never end. Anyway, that was his official title, no jokes attached.
Idi Amin Dada Omuee was Ugandan military leader from 1971 - 1979 being the third 'president' of Uganda. Uganda an East African country about the size of Great Britian....
Idi Amin was known as one of the most evil people to grace this planet. His famous quote, "you can't run faster than a bullet" would give you a hint of his personality. He infringed on the rights of his countrymen doing inhumane things. Another of his quotes,"You have 'freedom of speech' but freedom AFTER speech that I cannot guarantee".
A man who had the great Adolf Hitler as his idol, was estimated to have killed between 200,000 to 500,000 people. He killed most of his ministers and put their heads in his fridge as a warning to anyone who dares defy him. He had a personal guard who he ordered to slaughter people with sledge, keeping the photographs of their death for his crazy amusement. The once prosperous country of Uganda fell to shambles during his reign.
After the Ugandan - Tanzanian war which he caused as a result of the intoxicating power which he kept on seeking, Field Marshal Amin fled to Libya and later on to Saudi Arabia where he died of kidney failure aged 79 in 2003. His age is not really known, he is said to be between 75/80 years.
