Ethiopian Bull Jumping

Every tribe in Africa has a ritual for attaining manhood and such also apply in Ethiopia. 
There are series of event that takes place before a boy becomes a man and this event is the bull riding.
The young boy goes completely naked as he runs and jump on the back of a bull, he keeps running across the back of several bulls arranged in a straight and closely-knit herd of animals pulled by the tail and horn by older men. This practice is known as Hamar.
On the other hand, female friends of the young boy riding the bull are made to cover their entire body, head and hair with ocher mixed with fat, then they are made to dance and get flogged  until their body is sore. This is regarded as loyalty to their male friend.
