Ngorongoro crater


We are familiar with the seven wonders of the world, interestingly Africa got its own wonders of which the Ngorongoro crater is one of them.

The Ngorongoro crater is a natural wonder, its world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera.
The crater was formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago.

The Ngorongoro crater is in the Ngoronogro conservation area, a protedted area and world heritage site located 180km west of
Ngorongoro crater park

Arusha in the crater Highlands area of Tanzania.
The crater is a well known tourist attraction because of the variety of animals present. It is estimated that about 25,000 large animals mostly ungulates live in the crater. Animals in the crater includes Cape Buffalo, Blue wildebeest, Grant's zebra, black rhinoceros and many more.
